The autobiography of Kash 'The Flash' Gill
Born in 1966, Kash 'The Flash' Gill is proud of his roots in Birmingham's inner-city area of Handsworth. Kash was the first Asian to become a World Champion in a contact sport, and remains the unbeaten four-time World Kickboxing Champion.
His biography tells of the highs and lows of growing up in Handsworth during the riots of the 1980s, and coping with the loss of his mother when he was just nine years old — after which his father worked 18-hour days to support Kash, his sister and four brothers. Athletic from an early age, Kash discovered kickboxing at 14, fell in love with the sport, and the rest is history.
With contributions from over 50 family members, friends and famous names — including musicians Apache Indian and members of UB40, boxer Joe Egan and footballer Cyrille Regis — My Life in a Flash is an honest, inspiring account of resilience, determination and staying focused on your goals against the odds.
